I had a go at the other thread as well and got good info already what the "magic" of a remap is. Anyway there are some open points you could perhaps clarifiy whith the experience you have...
1) LR has quite a big buffer in their own engine setting. Besides opperating the car all over the world (different fuel quality, heat, air...) whch other parts did they consider. (torque for automatic, differentials...) and how close is the remap you provide to the opperating limits of the other parts in the car besides the engine itself (which can handle more power/torque).
2) The first post on tune torque I found was in 2007 - any long term results/feedback...
3) if I bring in the car for a service, can I read the software status before/after to identify if the dealer changes it during service (you should be able from the feel the car provides)
4) will the dealer be able to identify the changes made in case of warranty and/or am I able to reset myself to prevent him finding something
5) as far as I understand, terrain response also uses mapped torque e.g snow programm to reduce friction. Does your tune changes all, or just the on road setting. (you wrote that it does not completely writes the ECD? and therefore prevents "wire count"
6) what about "tunes" abroad - in case we find more people that would like to have one?
Thanks for your help, hope all questions are clear (not a native speaker)
