What colour
Hi all,I am talking with dealer about replacing my D3 with 2006 model(lots of faults).I have zambezi silver on my current model but am leaning towards java black for new model.
This may sound trivial but we are finding it hard to make up our mind on colour.Any advice ?

black is the new....er black - IMHO makes the Disco look even larger & very intimidating. If you like that sort of thing, it also makes the windows blend better to into the body design to my eye, especially the rear ones. Of course the main disadvantage of black is it gets hot inside without the a/c on in the summer, but looking at where you live that should'nt be a problem
If black is too black - buckingham blue is slightly more subtle, my D2 is that colour. I find silver is the worst colour for visibility, up where I live its often quite foggy - even in the summer (haar) and silver cars are absolutely invisible in fog..... 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.

I think Black with Alpaca interior might be nice and after trouble with silver D3 maybe a fresh start is the way to go.
Just hope with global warming taking effect on the Irish climate I won't regret getting black
i have java black with alpacca leather and tinted windows and it looks 8)
shawnbali blue disco 4 with rear dvd's, privacy glass, pre heat system, heated steering wheel, full size spare, piano black trim, ipod cable, 20 inch wheels and i love it loads more than my TDV8 RRS, KTM 250 EXC 2 Stroke for the real off road stuff

Buckingham Blue (mine) is an interesting one - it wasn't my 1st choice (that was silver) but now I love it - sometimes it looks black, others blue. I am looking to get some chrome on it though - the chrome edged rubbing strips will probably be firstSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I agree with Steve. Buck Blue was my second choice with Java Black first. Buck Blue looks black until the sunshines and then a glorious blue appears 8)
After three months I've learned to live with dirty. If you can't then go for silver.
Is it me or does the rear look odd in lighter colours?
HD3 gone for now

Yep mines Buckingham Blue which I think is the best of both worlds.
I did have someone say that it looks like a transit van, but they won't be saying that again!
I like Bonnati Grey too!
Anyway, I thought they were supposed to be dirty

I went for the Rimini red! Hardly anyone has it and it will be really easy to spot on the supermarket parking lot! (But I still have to wait 3 months...)

Bonnati Grey was my first choice, but as Land Rover are replacing my car after 4000 miles I decided to change to Black. Not seen many black D3s on the roads round here, but the ones I have seen look good with the privacy glass. Still have to wait a few more weeks to see if my choice was a good one.
I have a Bonatti Grey with Privacy glass, and it looks 8) pretty good.
Still big and a bit imposing - but less so than the Java.
It shows the dirt up less too... more of a dark Silver than Grey I'd say...
Spent ages trying to decide, and then prowled about 4 big LR dealers - looking at cars in the flesh so to speak - that made my mind up.

Favourite colour at the moment is Rimini Red, wish it'd been available when I got my D3. There again I'd happily have a white one and save £500, I'm no big fan of metallic paint and think the D3 is one of the few cars that looks good in white
