Don't worry (Heine) nothing serious , only irritating.
Whenever I travel on a dirt road, the red (EPB) light starts flashing with the message "EPB not activated, lift lever to activate" - or something similar.
Seems like it is a sensor that activates due to the vibration.
As soon as the EPB is applied and released its back to normal Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Yup - I got the same thing on bumpy roads. Hand brake drum was cleaned of all mud etc. at service and fine since then

Had an EPB failure on Sunday – the unit was replaced Yesterday and this morning I had another failure…..
