Yeovil Landrover - Popped my Yeovil Cherry today !!!!!
As the title says, off I trundled to Yeovil LR, to meet Nick, last conversation we had was Nick telling me to get there early, as they open up , meaning a 3.30am start from Hastings . With Sub-zero temperatures, suicidal gritter drivers on the A303 I got there in time to have my D3 taken into the workshops straight away
30-45 mins later it was ALL fitted, at a very GENEROUS cut down labour charge (i think Nick bottled out of hoiking it up there with me, so arranged fitting).
I had a great welcome, very polite service, copious amounts of various types of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and was great to put a face to the name in "The Large One".
Top Dealership, and Nick Top Man, hope you enjoy the tin of chocolates
Looks good
How much did the wind noise increase on the way back? The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.
What sweetie's TLO has left the building.......
I no longer work for a Landrover Dealer

To be honest it is'nt as noisy as I feared, yes it does increase the noise but no different to driving with the sunroof open. Remembering I have the Raised Air Intake too so the induction noise is there, but thats a nice SUCKING noise.
IMHO I can live with the increased wind noise, and just turn the Harmon up a few more notches

I was out with Discostu on Sunday in Wilma and I could hardly hear his expo rack making any difference.... Think I'll get one after Christmas..... The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Go to Nick Snowy, he does a great deal and can include fitting, aint alot involved to fit, but saves you the hassle and at a cost of next to nowt
I will PM TLO for a price and once I've counted the pennies in the piggy bank, and I have enough money, I'll get one. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.
I can deliver if you can't get over to Yeovil to collect it Snowy I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

True on the advice too their Alan, just the four clamps would be fine for transit back home, TLO ofered a techy to fit it for £35 so I could'nt turn that down........
So anybody wanna buy an unused hole saw set
As for the Uncle Ray bracket I had fitted, the techy did fit it in the same place, near enough, but the ariel would have hit the rack from time to time, so I relocated it to the rear cross section. The clever bit was to use Rays top piece of the bracket and Nylock Nut with one of the Lashing eye bases
Cheers for all the advice, and help offered. Job done
Looks 8) Jason. I might just have to get one of those once Mrs Ridgeback gets over the Uncle Ray protection plate Previously:

Heard he can do the LR set up with the LR switch on the dash with the lightforce. Watch this space, but will be greatly difficult to get them below SWMBO radar me thinks
