More Than & Off road use
Hi folks
Wondered if anyone was insured with More Than and had any knowledge of their reaction to off road use.
I'm currently with More Than and have been 'negotiating' the renewal price following move from D1 to D3, unfortunately asked if 'off road use' was covered only to be told that it was not after the kind call centre lady had spoken to her manager.
Interestingly I also checked More Than pricing via tinternet and the quote was over £100 cheaper and. according to the follow up call, offered full off road cover excluding events.
Thanks

sorry
But I always thought this was a stupid name for an insurance company....
One that might cost MORE THAN anyone else
But offer service LESS THAN anyone else

Get them to put it in writing, they will cover for Green Lanes as technically they are a road, but I don't know anyone who has actually put that to the test.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Hi SN & Pelyma & thanks for replies.
The nice lady who called re the renewal said catergoricaly NO off roading (assume Green Lanes covered as a highway anyway) and since I cant't get protected NCB on tinternet quote (don't ask!) I'm not really interested in chasing that route. But it really me off that More Than always offer lower quote for 'new business' on the internet than the renewal price and I have to haggle each year to get price down......so much for loyalty
More Than are also run by RSA who underwrite the LR scheme....and they do full off road.
Looks like NFU may get business this year....full off road, unlimited miles, lower XS, full EU cover, protected NCB and offer replacement as new for first 2 years of D3's life should the unthinakbale happen.....maybe more expensive but still cheaper over 2 years than taking out GAP insurance.
Can;t really complain about More Than overall, recent 'post event' service was excellent and 'residual' value on elderly D1 was better than D3's will be next year.

I had a lot of running around trying to get full off-road cover. Even RSA who, as you say , underwrite LR Insurance wouldn't do it.
As I'm too urban for NFU, I went with LR. More expensive than many but I want full off-road just in case. I was happy to pay the extra £100 for that.I see no ships........
