No worries - I'll make a note of it, I'm after the same as you and TFC wants 2x 10m. So long as people let me know I will include them in my negotiations for a better price - hopefully have some confirmation of the actual discount we can apply for this GB by Wednesday (31st Dec) LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Wow, including the extras where people have requested 2, that's 20 ropes
I just hope the discount they offer us will reflect the interest. I'll try and get hold of the boss man tomorrow for discount details, but no promises as I don't know what their opening times are between Xmas & New Year. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Do you think these will be available for the Snowdonia event...? The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

I know what you mean Glynne
JF Lux - yes I'm hoping we can get this sorted in time for the Snowdonia trip, because it'll help with the distributing via the D3 Courier service, that's why I was closing the GB on the 18th - considering the interest so far, I may pull this forward by a week to the 11th. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

And it's not distribution that was at the forefront of my mind...I'm thinking I may need it... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

They're cheaper 'cos they're slings not ropes.... two completely different things with different properties and applications - as anyone who's completed a winching & recovery course will know

I know, and have done the course on recovering a LR, albeit an MOD one, and we used slings all the time. Each to their own I guess. I have always had a sling in the rear of my Discovery. Its help me and a few others, I used to have ropes etc, but after being caught out once in my 300 series and only a sling onboard that I used to use around a tree I found the Sling was all that I needed.
