Middle Row Airvent Removal

Hi All,
Managed to break one of the middle row airvent covers Sad
Can anyone tell me how to remove the vent that is directly behind the lift up cubby hole on the centre console.
A box slid forward a managed to hit the plastic ring which goes around the vent, this broke one of the very small lugs off and also the holder of the direction flaps.
I can see a small plastic panel just under the hinge of the lid of the said cubby hole but don't want to start digging here if this is not the way in.
Any tips would be a great help.
Cheers.
Mark

I wont ask how Question Whistle , I partially removed those to run a cable through to the power socket there. The air vents and switches are seperate trim, so pop the switches and power trim 1st, its easy enough, that gives you enough leverge to pull the vent trim. Dont just yank it, try even gradual pressure and it will come away. Mine pulled out enough so not having to completely remove.

Maybe it is prudent though to buy the replacement piece of trim 1st, see where the fixing points are, then yank off the old one.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

The vent trim is actually held in by a screw which you can only get to by removing the cubby box, thanks LR Rolling Eyes

I couldn't be bothered so just pulled firmly and snapped the screw out of it's plastic thread, the trim went back fine using the clips afterwards.

Hi,
Can you tell me what part I should be getting hold of before pulling it off (well trying to at least) Whistle
I don't want to be yanking the wrong part.
Cheers.

I had the centre console down to its component parts on my previous D3 and frankly, not a nice job. Sad Might be worth giving Nick at Yeovil a shout if you want a dealer to do it? Cheaper than Westover and a great bunch Thumbs Up

Thanks for that, will take a peak myself after my hols and if I don't fancy it will give them a shout.
I did buy it from Westover as the deal offered by them was £5,000 better than the Yeovil guys Mr. Green
Cheers.

I bought my first LR from Westover, second from Yeovil and by the third they'd really got the hang of this discounting business Thumbs Up

Servicing has always been cheaper and a lot more "hands-on"
