Thanks for everyones replies, still not sure whats wit these wheels but as the difference between non dimpled and dimples seems to be marginal on my car i think they will be okay. Will have a butchers at other folks at the snowdon event. Cheers its great to have access to such a valuable knowledge base. 
My wheels are rated at 1250kgs it seems, and i dont think think this is normal......it gets more interesting....  Corrado Vr6
