Do you think that the A shape and the pins are suitable for extremely fine, dry sand? What would you reccomend?

Hello H, I will pick up the trial ground anchor tomorrow as I have asked Ed Cobley to try it out on the funday next Sunday when we meet. If he thinks its OK, it must be good. The guys attending can then report back on it.

It is quite possible because we can also use turfers with it. Could even link 2 D3's together, but Ed is the expert we will see what he gets upto with it.

Tirfor's won't be any use with a spade type ground anchor unless you dig it in first as they don't have the required inertia to bury the anchor... thought you'd know that as an 'instructor'

I think you will find H has made a pin type anchor, not a spade type.

I won't find as I won't be there... last I heard hog-thingy was going to make a spade anchor. Obviously a pin anchor will work fine with a Tirfor as it doesnt need inerta pre-load
Would be good to see pictures and specifications of both though.
