had that before (long time ago) when I worked in MK, manged to drive the 30+ miles in 2-3" of snow in a MKI escort only to find my shiftleader who lived 1.5 miles away COULDNT get to work as he couldnt get his car off the drive .thought MK had a good bus service in those days??
had last laugh though as I volenteered to pick him up, was outside his house within 15mins

This lack of enthusiasm on the part of many to get to work because of a bit of snow hardly support the the "British jobs for British workers" campaign. Apart from those cases of genuine difficulty it appears that we have a nation of lay a bouts.
