Impressive Sand Perfomance |
|
Just got back from Mozambique (Ponto), and the D3 performed extremly well on loose sand. There were a few moments I didnt think it was going to make it as I was towing a boat and the inclines where serious.
Just one incident... I got bogged in a sand pit (got a bit brave after some local Rum), just dropped the tire pressure and the Disco took it in its stride.
The only down side is the speed limit on the off Road height as its difficult to keep up the momentum at low speeds. Disco 2 V8

Need to get to Stockton Beach or someone to buy the prototype.
I am getting better I will give it a good test in March at Bendethera.
It will sell for about $1000 as a kit.
Prototype on offer for less including fitting. as long as you test and give feedback. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Should be easy enough I have removed and re-fitted using a single pair of car ramps on a gravel drive. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Yes it is designed with quick connects on the air lines actuators come off and the air lines can be left in place. Connection to air tank can come off as well. I am fortunate as my dealer has selective blindness but is impressed with the system. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Basically replaces the suspension rods with actuators which go between the rod attachment points. Button on the dash shortens the rods by 10mm instantly. The next time the D3 checks it suspension height it self levels to the new height, normal becomes off-road, off-road becomes extended, extended becoves super extended. Don't touch the up buuton for super extended. or will probably follow.
Anyone tried that one with shortened rods? I think it will probably fault code because it will be out of range on the height sensor.
Switch off and rods return to normal lenghth which is the default in case of failure of the system.
The system needs further testing to make sure it is up to the abuse you lot will give it. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
