Ipod not working

Just connected daughters ipod via aux port - nothing happened
Am I doing something wrong? - I assumed it would play straight away?
Thanks

It should do, assuming the AUX button on the dash is pressed and both the ipod volume and the dash volume are turned up.

If not, then I guess it's a dealer visit to check the connections, as I somehow doubt it formed part of the PDI.

If you're feeling brave, you can check the aux socket end - pull out the plastic section by tugging the flap. You can then check that the socket is connected to the loom - a green 4x1 plastic connector plugged into the back of this plastic section. If that's ok, then chances are the problem is at the back of the head unit in the dash and that's another level of bravery on.

My aux socket also doesn't seem to work! I just thought i'd leave it to the dealer when I can be bothered to visit them.
If you find the solution I'd appreciate you letting me know.

Cheers.

I suggest you take a look at the appropriate section in your owners literature-my guess would be you need to change your setting/input on the head unit.

shouldn't think for a minute there would be a problem with your infotainment system for this issue

egg on face for you if you're not tweaking your controls correctly when you return to your dealer Rolling with laughter

Well the Aux plug on my S doesn't appear to work with an iPod either...
