HELP - Catch for load space cover |
|
Can anyone help ???
The catch to take the load space cover off has come off, I spoke to my nearest dealers, Shields of Glasgow yesterday and they say it needs a whole new load space cover, which I'm guessing isn't cheap.
Surely it must be able to be fitted back into the mounting.
It's still under Approved Waranty, but they say it's not covered. I only bought it in Dec and this is the first time I've tried to take the cover off.
Anyone got any advice/suggestions
Cheers
Phil

Had exactly the same problem when I bought mine. Dealer changed it under warranty without question.
Failing that they seem to turn up cheap on Ebay regularly.

Mine did the same. Fixed it myself. If you can find the spring it can be done easily, a bit fiddly though. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Ditto to caverD3 - first time I used it. But put it back together and it's been fine since.

Hi Phil
Welcome btw
The catch on the pass side of the load cover came out on mine and I thought I had broken it but the piece did actually slip back in and the cover is working fine and stays in place.
If its the catch on the drivers side I'm not sure - put a thread up in the wanted section, they do come up from time to time. A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
