Collected the car today from Guy Salmon Maidstone after they completed some work.
New steering wheel, under warranty
Sorted out drivers window that was making a slight grinding noise and would not always close properly, under warranty
Whilst it was in there I asked for a software upgrade on the BT module so that I could get the phone book. Quoted cost £70. When they tried the upgrade, the module went legs up, so replaced that under warranty and no charge for the software upgrade.
EPB was screeching, when they had a look a few weeks back they said that it needed cleaning and adjusting and would charge £140 to do so. Picked the car up, no charge.
And I got a tin of sweets too

Good to here a positive outcome. Just shows that they can provide good service if they try, if only other dealers paid as much attention to detail there might be a few more positive feedback posts. Corrado Vr6

Glad to hear about that, after my woes I will probably move over to them for repairs n warranty work. Servicing will be done at Yeovil Got Swmbo's family down there so can tie that up annually

Only ever used GS Maidstone, so couldn't comment on the others. Customer Service has always been great, but on this particular occasion it was really great (sweets = easily pleased )
Sales were also very good when I originally purchased the car.
My only problem with GS Maidstone, and I suspect the other GS dealers are the same, is the price of servicing. I was quoted £550+ for the 2nd service, paid £340 else where. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Hi Snowy
Where did you get your 2nd service done? was it still in the Kent area Women are like swimming pools, very expensive for the amount of time you spend in them!

Not in Kent unfortunately Vic. Couldn't get it below £450 in the area. Went to JV Like in Herefordshire, luckily during a business trip .
Yeovil are a similar price but I can't find an excuse to have work meetings in that part of the country

Thanks for that, I'm just looking for someone that will do a good job without the over inflated costs and I'm struggling - any suggestions? Women are like swimming pools, very expensive for the amount of time you spend in them!

If you want a main dealer in Kent to do it then over inflated costs are unavoidable
You may be able to haggle down Harwoods @ Edenbridge or Tonbridge. I think they quoted £450 for the 2nd service.
If you fancy taking a road trip, then Yeovil in Somerset is highly thought of on this site, not sure on costs but expect to pay circa £350. Send a PM to The Large One.
If you don't insist on Main Dealer service, then PM 10forcash. He'll come to you at a vary reasonable cost. I don't think he can carry out warranty work, but will check the car over thouroughly and point out anything that needs doing.

ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES will do a service on a TDV6 for a relatively good price. However they are in Bexhill of Sea, what about Stuart Gilbert in Rainham Kent. These are non dealers, but still can give you the service you require

I know where Stuart Gilbert is, about 10 mins down the road from me, I've never used him - can you recommend?
cheers
