Yeovil and Tesco Warranty

Just got back from collecting my car, took a couple of week but part delays caused this.

Great service from Yeovil, as mentioned before they lent me a car for the duration as I was a long way from home without transport, which is not a normal thing to do Thumbs Up . Nick got the parts in as soon as possible and was on the case.

In the end I had a new power steering pump, new air conditioning compressor and new air suspension compressor. Car is all nice and shiny as well.

Good news is that Tesco are as good as their word with the warranty and paid for everything without an excess of any kind. Yeovil get paid direct by the warranty company so I didn't even have to settle any bills Thumbs Up .

EDIT: They also have new air fresheners in the shape of the Land Rover logo 8)

Hi Andy,
I fully understand that Yeovil are very good, but why did you go there instead of our local GS? Only interested as about to take out the Tesco w'tee next month and wondered if there was a problem with Tesco and GS?
Cheers, Richard.

I don't have a problem with Guy Salmon at all, but having a personal contact just seems to make things easier and I know Nick will work hard to get the parts in and he keeps in regular contact.

Also they lent me a car for over 2 weeks, which I am sure Guy Salmon wouldn't have been able to do as I was out of Land Rover warranty. The delay was a parts issue rather than labour time, which makes it difficult to justify to a garage to lend me a car for that length of time.

What it really boils down to for me is that your dealing with people rather than a garage and Yeovil just seem good at that (plus they also do a good job of fixing it). It's relaxed but professional.

It might be different if I knew the Guy Salmon staff who are always to be fair very pleasant and professional, but I got to speak to Nick a few times on here and he also offers great prices.

I did think that myself Embarassed

It was pretty unlucky, first I had the whine and then literally the day before we were booked to go to Yeovil for the other bits, the suspension compressor failed as well.
