I have had all my previous cars/land rovers re-mapped, so I know what to expect but they have all had 10k plus miles on them before I did the deed. Are the benefits as significant on a new engine? should i wait till it has loosened up before applying the magic? my new toy has done 2000 miles and stills feels pretty tight when compared to SWMBO's 20k HSE.
and yes I know all about warranty/issurance risks/issues
cheers
Dave

I waited until I'd covered just over a 1,000 miles, before a re-map & ITG air filter.
Not sure that is was really necessary, but IIRC, the TurboChip dealer advised me to do that.

I've remapped D3's from delivery mileage (sometimes pre-delivery in the dealers workshop ) to 102,000 miles, always the same increase in perma- and never any issues
