Here's a funny thing - just seen the Norwich Union/Aviva advert on the telly - you know the one with Ringo Starr, Alice Cooper and Bruce Willis claiming they would not have been a success if they hadn't changed their name....
Does this apply to the D3 vs D4 debate?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
Sat in the 09/10 face lift model on Easter Saturday, apart from the uprated engine spec I did not find it horney.

I don't like it at all. Why did they try to make it look like Range Rover from the front? That is soooo pretentious. If I want a Range Rover I buy one. If a cannot afford one I don't want a look-a-like.
The beauty of the Disco 3 was that it combined great space utilisation and good technologiy with cool and rugged styling. That is gone, there far too much bling on this so called D4. Just look at the rear lights Really awful. The look of the D3 was perfect. The new engine is fine but why did they mess with the look? It is really badly detailed.

The spec sheet only shows an auto....what about manual?
Looks like the 2.7L TDV6 will still be available with a manual box,
I expect the 2.7 manual will be a basic commercial type vehicle. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

You have all the information we do at the moment, as soon as there's any update I'm sure it will be posted here. At the moment, we're trying to find out when it will be in the showrooms so we can see in the flesh. Bodsys Brake Bible
IS the trip to see it in production still on Andrew? The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.
