Sunroof Leak, Now Jammed Open. Urgent Help Needed
Hi all,
Driving along yesterday evening during a heavy shower I noticed a drip coming into the centre console from the sunroof area, I tried opening the sunroof about 3" to remove any water trapped and unfortunatly the Sunroof Jammed itself open. I had to use the Rubber Boot Mat on the roof overnight to keep the interior dry.
First port of call this morning was to change the Sunroof Fuse but this has made no difference, still no power/movement and the roof is still open 3-4".. Nearest Dealer is almost 80miles away.
Can anyone offer any tips to get the roof closed urgently

Is there no manual over ride using a spanner on the drive mechanism. I don't have a my manual here, but does it say anything in that.

Hello NIdisco 3
I had a similar problem with water coming in through the light and around the sunroof area, I eventually found out the cause from a bodyshop that my landrover dealer use. Its caused by the end of the drain tubes being to narrow a diameter and having some sort of cross section in them, which easily blocks. The solution is to cut this section off. Access is from the engine bay which requires removing certain parts to gain access. The body shop my disco was at told me this was a known problem by land rover and should have been rectified before i purchased the vehicle. My a disco is 2005 model, i assume newer models have this rectified. It does sound as though you have same problem. My dealer tried at first to say it was not covered under warranty and that it was leaking and i should pay. However after i kicked off they eventually agreed to cover it. I never informed them i knew the real reason my sunroof was leaking as i didnt want effect the relationship with the bodyshop.
