It might be worth sending Wiggs a PM/Email I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

You could always take lots of Pictures and do a 'how to' guide for the forum I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Thanks fellas.I've started into replacing the EPB actuator , begun to remove the disc so that I can disconnect the cable but I'm meeting some resistance , just wondering if theres something there I havent encountered on previous vehicles.
I should have said its the rear discs aswell.

Matty & Adrian , received all your emails , many thanks .I didn't know that the epb shoes had to be retracted.I thought it wouldn't be necessary as I've had the park brake disconnected ( via release cable) for the past couple of months. As soon as I had released them by rotating the adjuster they came off no bother. So no need for the sledge persuader Bren
Anyway , to release the cable from the drum I had to take all the innards out which was tedious.Unclipped all the cables back to the actuator including the manual release cable to the gear tunnel.
BUT
Getting at the actuator itself is a right bastid and doing so on the flat of my back on a trolley .Only way to properly do this is on a post lift which I havent got ( yet).Either this or I'll cop out and get my local to do it Friday
Glad it worked out - if you do the actuator it'd be good to get some pictures of the job as I would be surprised if that comes up on our D3 in the next 18-24 months.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
