Got a Topic Reply Notification - "FAULTMATE MSV2 my review"
Clicked and got this again: "The topic or post you requested does not exist"
Did a search and foud it again.
Does this just happen if a comment has been removed?
I am also getting some Topic Reply Notifications coming via disco4.com which I cannot edit and reply to without logging into disco4.com anyone else had this?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

PMs stuck in outbox
I have sent a few PMs which have not been opened. They are stuck in the 'outbox'.
I do not know if notification has been sent?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Do Pm's go out if you logoff the site ?
I know they're received if you just close without logging off D3UK.
I thought the Pm's couldn't be read without being logged on ?

I noticed this yesterday and asked Martin/Slimer about it.....
Although the forums are the same, if a user (Slimer in my case) replies to a post whilst logged into DISCO4.COM (as Slimer usually is these days), you will receive the notification e-mail from that site even though you are are physically logged in and generally using disco3.co.uk.
From what Martin said it all depends on the 'mode' that the site is running in. When Slimer replies to a thread whilst logged into DISCO4.COM, the site generates and sends out the subscibed e-mail notifications using the site name and URL that he is logged into.
Maybe these posts could be separated because this could be a common question as more people start using the other alias' of the forum...2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I would think they should go out regardless as they go to your e-mail address.
One of the PMs sitting there was to Martin.
Whilst we are on site matters. I am getting post notifications from disco4.com. Then if you click on the link it asks you to log in on disco4.com.
I thought it was just me but philhunt has had it happen too. http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=463711#463711
Also I mententioned I had got : "The topic or post you requested does not exist" when replying to a couple of threads.
Do I have a problem at my end or is it a glitch with the forum site?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

That explains it.
It makes it difficult to reply to a post on the forum posted by someone logged onto disc4.com.
Could the site be set so when a new post is made on a thread by either a disco3.co.uk user or a disco4.com user to notification link is set to the site where the request to watch the post or the user the original post was made from?
Hope that made sense.
This is getting

Suggest a Mod other than Slimer moves it [unless he's logged into disco3.co.uk!]
I'm sure the problem causing confusion is something that Martin can fixClubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD

It's to do with cookies, there's different ones for disco3.co.uk & disco4.com
I think (and I haven't tried this yet) that if you login to both sites and select "Keep me logged in until I log out" you should automatically be able to respond to threads you've gone to from clicking on the link in the notification emails. Problem I found with using the auto logon is it affects the new posts you see, or rather don't see if you've logged onto both, if you only ever logon via one URL this wouldn't be an issue.
You could you copy the bit of the link in the email after the site name and paste it into the address bar after the site name e.g.
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic34461.html
and
http://www.disco4.com/forum/topic34461.html
will both take you to this thread, so you could copy the
/forum/topic34461.html
bit and pasted it onto the end of the URL you are connected to
I'll have a chat with Martin and see if we can work out a way of having a single cookie for both URLs so it doesn't matter which one you use to get to the siteThe End
