freeflytim and jzk, we obviuosly need to educate you guys in the proper English language. Bonnet - covers the engine, like a hat, obvious. Tyres are the round rubber bits you spell as tires. Bumpers are your 'fenders' need to know more, like 'apple & pairs' are stairs?

freeflytim, the LR3 is not a truck. A truck is a vehicle for carrying large goods Confused . In our words a lorry Very Happy . The LR3 is a SUV as you call it, we call it a 4x4 Laughing . I contract to Academy Sports & Outdoors in Texas and they have trucks, big ones, Macs etc Confused . By the way wineman we have sorted freeflytim out on the trunk and boot already Very Happy freeflytim, I think you had better come over here and we can sort you out.

Yes, unfortunately these odd transatlantic expressions can cause problems of interpretation Smile Suppose it is a case of "when in Rome do as the Romans do" ie when on a .co.uk forum discuss things using "proper English" terms Wink

We went all the way to Juno Beach, which was even farther. But they were pretty easy miles for the LR3:

"freeflytim, the LR3 is not a truck...The LR3 is a SUV as you call it, we call it a 4x4 "

We prefer truck. Truck takes away the soccer mom stigma that SUVs have here. A truck is something you play with in the mud. A SUV is something you load with groceries. Especially if you have it set to "British Male" voice.

Wow! I thought my outfit (Disco 3 towing a 22ft caravan) was big. But towing the Disco (LR3) with the RV Shocked What can I say.

I would not fancy maneuvering that around in the Lake District! And you would really be very popular driving that down the A30 to Cornwall in the summer! - NOT!

"We all know what a "fag" is in the US!"

Is it that British Male voice on the LR3?

No a fag has two meanings in the UK, the second one is a person in a public school who runs after the senior lads. Now I have started another, the public school which is in fact a private school not open to the public Confused .
