Strange that, after seeing your first post about that mount, I went into Maplin and bought one myself, the guy behind the counter said - "we've had these in for months and never sold any but thats the second one in a few days", must have been the same Maplin!!
The only trouble is, you can only mount it outside the car because of the angle of the window, so I took the sucker bit off mine and fixed to a bracket that I can mount on the dash inside the car, (only for the Deafener so far, I'm still working on a D3 solution.)
As for video file conversion, I use "Format Factory", it will convert just about anything to almost anything else, It converts MP4 to WMV at about 50MB a minute (directly from the camera USB,) it's free too!!Clive

Hi,
Some of you know I'm a bit impatient, so whilst at Maplin this after I could resist buying this and having a play.
Sticks like hell to the car window and bonnett, not bad for £7.95 for a trial!.
Bought one today but I think I might have a duffer - how much rotation is in that knurled ring just above the suction cup? I get 3/4 of a turn max. Instructions imply some 'deflation' but mine doesn't move at all. and it ain't sticking to anything Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Hi SN, Looks like you got the lemon, mine does about 2½ - 3 full turns from fully compressing the suction cup to meeting the ally base. About 3 - 4 mm of movement up & down the thread.
Edit; Neil beat me to it!!Clive
