Nice one, though as mentioned i would recommand leaving the amber side trim. Otherwise it does look a bit toyesque / too blingy or à la Halford chrome bits
try fitting 2009 optional rear light to it and it could do the trick, then you'd need the 2009 painted side trims and bumper (fleabay is you friend) and it will be done
mine bein off-roading oriented i did not go the urban way, though was not happy with the orange sides and side repeaters (got some smoked ones from LRBits (since my last pics the front grill is Performance grey along with RRS SC black badging, I know...

bumpers colour coding
Hi All
Is there an actual difference between an 09 bumper and an 05 bumper I think all LR did was colour code them to the car.
I dont think LR changed the shape of them did they if they didnt then all the bumpers are the same

I think that there is a slight differance in the bumpers, but im sure the arches are the same but colour coded
If anyones got pictures to show the differances that would be great

BUMPER ARE INDEED DIFFERENT on 09, front ones too
2009 bumpers ended up on 2010 though that y/M has a complete new front end, including bumper
side trim are different on 2009 as it is the smooth type trim (paintable) compared to the original grained one

I just noticed that the side vent was painted black also, that really ties in the black light protectors I think.

bumper differences o5 on to 09
Hi All
It dosnt matter if the plastic is textured or not it can still be painted, if the bodyshop is a good reputable company and has all the proper preparation equipment, paint mixing and oven for baking the paint then you wont know wether it was textured or not and it should be a perfect match, so is that the only difference is the actual shape of the bumper changed.

In fact Mike the smooth style side trim is indeed different as the very lower part of it is unpainted and there is a recessed line to it, ditto for thr 2009 rear bumperl=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

I'll post up some pics tomorrow when its light.
Honestly i'm not convinced, maybe it'll look better without the guards and the a-bar etc. Somehow it doesn't look as "mean", it's a more softer look.
Maybe if i added some leds though

hi,
indeed, the orange strip does'nt work as good as on my Maya Gold Disco
what would you think about painting the strip the same color as your D3 maybe ?
alternatively, you could leave them all chrome but have the grill sprayed silver (making a wide frontal strip à la L322) ?
just a few ideas really.
maybe the bold look of the stock headlamp works better with the G4 Challenge look / off roader of your
any tip on transforming the lamps that i did not already put here btw ?
Also one could just smoke the whole orange part instead of taking it out, that would work too l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

Yep whilst I think you guys are all very brave in what you've done, and you've got some stunning looks there.
For me, I like my orange bits - from the headlights/rearlights, side repeaters, 4 x G4 badges and also the 3 x orange Disco3 stickers.
