Disco JOY in Austria
A couple of days after receiving my D3 I went off with it for a week's skiing in Austria. And just as we arrived at the resort (and hadn't quite understood that 'Your destination is ahead on the left' could mean a few 100 metres yet), I spotted a Hungarian Disco 3 with the very appropriate registration JOY xxx. Anyone here?
Later in the week I saw another Hungarian D3 in different village and we even formed a little convoy of two Discos for a short while, till he turned up another valley.
We had a little fresh snow during the week but nothing very much on the roads (photos in my gallery).
The car performed faultlessly (except one cold morning a warning about the engine appeared but then disappeared on starting again). Much enjoyed the drive and listening to CDs with less background noise than in my old VW (though the Caravelle was probably better for storing ski gear inside; I think I'll get a ski rack for the Disco - sorry I just missed Andy's bulk buy).
