Do you have experience of TorqTune or Turbochip, have you used their services on a D3 Question Do you know wether they download to the ECU or install a chip Question

Please don't remove the above quote.

I have bought a D3 in the past that had one of the above companies tunes on it which was an autologic generic re-map. I asked Pete to have a look at it as the vehicle did not perform as good as I would have expected and after removing the re-map and updating it with a BAS specific re-map it was slightly better.

My new D3 had no re-map but now has a BAS specific re-map designed for my vehicle/how I drive/the mileage and vehicle age etc etc Thumbs Up

I dont think any re-map/chip will make the D3 go as it should other than maybe the new engine.

Both of the mentioned companies use downloads but both are generic from an autologic type system.

Sorry, but I won't de drawn into which system I have first hand experience of as both do a good job.

Am I still the defendant or am I free to go now Question
"UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

oh dear oh dear, Rich is about to roll up his sleeves for this particular cafuffell.

IMHO TT and BAS are tops, equals, and no comparison except one can be removed by the owner at will, both make the D3 enjoyable.

And knowing Pete Bell too, and TFC who supplies TT, I as a member with no ties to either sponser feel that this is'nt helping, BAS won my custom ONLY on its removable qualitys, but TT is a tad better. Thumbs Up

This isn't an issue about who is best Mac ..I have already stated it is horses for courses and many agree...but Mr Jasperoony has gone one step further by implying that some sponsors tunes are not 'as described' which therefore implies that they may be misleading. I think that needs to be clarified ...don't you?

I get your way of thinking there DG, and like I said, it aint helping with people standing up saying mine is better than yours, especailly when clearly there are associated links with a sponser in trade/custom.

I posted my links to BAS, and stated why I chose my route, but still like the TT, and was a VERY DIFFICULT decision at the time, and it seems quite funny to watch a member hang himself though lack of knowledgeable information on a competitors Tune, and the relationship most of us have with the TT supplier, especially you Rich Laughing

IMHO this thread does skim around the advertising rules, so we need to tread lightly as not to awaken Martin Whistle

Torq-tune is not a generic remap, clearly you have some affiliation to BAS ( I would say 'competition' but that would be dropping me to the level of 'tune cloners') I don't know when you dreamt up this 'fact' but you are either a sh it-stirrer or mentally deranged... would you like me to call someone to help you with your tablets?

Says who!!! I have TorqTune and Turbo chip and would look to the same if I bought a new D3 or a D4! I don't need to take it off or put it back, why would I? I've nothing bad to say about BAS, they did a great job on sat nav on the move and 4x4 info, but am happy as a pig in proverbial with these products!

PS didn't read the above which make my post a bit belated!!!
