Hi Folks,
I've bitten the bullet and ordered a nice new D4 HSE. Spec is black with almond/nutmeg, privacy, surround cameras, RSE, TV and heated steering wheel (deal breaker for this missus). Also getting tow pack and running boards.
I was toying with the X5, and BMW put together a cracking deal. Ride is quite a bit firmer but the real issue is space. 7 seats are nearly useless and the boot isn't as big plus it's sloped.
Looking at some of the comments about the new D4's re reliability I must confess I'm a bit nervous now. The beemer would have been near 100% reliable, are the new D4's really that bad?
Tell me I've done the right thing (even if you don't mean it) lol!

Get mione Saturday  You have done the right thing  Same spec as yours except I am fitting side steps myself. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Thanks Russell, glad your enjoying it.
The car was ordered a while back and was intended as a showroom model, so cameras were probably added at that point. Also means its probably an early car so might have a few gremlins under the hood.

I also tried the X5, but totally agree that the suspension is rock hard and the rear seats are a joke.
Had my HSE a week and its living up to all expectations.

Either really brave or rich and mad as a box of frogs  .....if I were spending that kind of brass I would make sure it's 100% BEFORE the purchase D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Neither. Took the view it was a 3.5 facelift. However I've since noticed some worrying comments about build quality.
Sounds like most are niggles and the majority are loving the experience. I certainly never had an issue with my d3.
Still don't fancy paying near 50k to be a beta tester. Oh well dice is rolled now, fingers crossed
