I am alive, been lurking, but have had nothing much to moan about recently - mota doing fine and faultess (explains the silence) excluding the gas strut, but it's not far gone so a spanner jobbie tonight. D3 HSE V8...

this was a nas recall, b036. retune the vehicle modules & loctite retorque the stud mounts

Most vehicles have had this done, but the rh stud still works loose. Its worth checking regularly as failure can take time and effort to fix.

Both sides on mine are tight..
will keep a check on them though.. You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough.

Just got a 55 Disco and came upon this thread. My right hand bolt was undone by nearly a centimetre!
Now fixed - thanks

Hi All
Just read through this tread and ran out to check.
Oh my god...RH strut is loose by about 3mm
Hand tightened until I get a thin 13mm spanner

Just nipped out to check mine right hand only held by two threads, fell out once the strut was un clipped, left one loose.
