OK -- read this with interest - is there actually a dimmer on all the interior control lights (like the instruments, binnacle, radio, climate controls, etc)?
There is some knob below my lightswitch but it doesnt do anything -- the lights do not dim or get brighter. I thought it was for the delay for how long courtesy lights stay on after the car is off.
(I have a USA-spec 2005 HSE with adaptive headlights, satnav, etc.)

nashvegas I think you are refering to the adjustment for the dash lights. Makes 'em dimmer or brighter. (the control under the headlight switch). I apologize if that is not what you meant. 2000 Discovery 2 Kent Green (totaled) R.I.P.

that's what i'm talking about... but funny that mine doesnt work -- mine are always the same brightness... the same brightness. i just assumed this is for something else. mine doesn't work.

That's probably disabled because LR doesn't want to be sued because somebody put's the dash light almost off and can't see the speed he is driving. Roel
