1.) the front bumper, to put a winch on, but not hidden, i like to see the winch and wipe of dirt and care about the winch regularly (cahnge grease etc.)
You don't need to change the bumper to have a winch fitted - but the ARB one is different; made of metal; and (I think) has different approach/departure angles due to it's shape.

2.) replace the rear bumper, to have no fears touching a tree (slowly)
As above.
One point to think of - an air suspension D3 has great ground clearance than a D2. So would you need the different bumpers to avoid damage due to the extra height the D3 gives (but that won't help with trees...)? And replacing a standard bumper a few times (should it get really damaged) may work out more cost effective than one ARB (or equivalent).

3.) and of course rock sliders, to protect the sills.
RLD versions are popular (good price). Very easy to fit yourself (even I could do it...). And well worth fitting.

4.) what do you thimk about skid plates??? usefull or just collecting dirt???
Useful !! Best money I spent on the D3...! Again from RLD - shipping to Germany is about 30 euro. 10 minutes to fit. And this is why I'm glad I got one - hit a hidden rock at Camp4Fun (Nurburgring). And Usefehler was there too...
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Rock sliders from RLD are very good. I'm glad I fitted them to my car.
Some our Australian colleagues will be able to comment on bumpers. Here's disco4x4au (albeit without bumper in the second photo):
ARB is known as Heavy Duty but it´s very heavy , too.
if i´d mount an arb to my disco I, i´d use heavy duty springs, but what can I do with the air springs form the D3
this bumper is nice ,too, but I can´t find more informations on the homepage from safari gard, beacuse it´s under construction

That's the bumper setup that was on display at Billing. But wasn't badges as Kaymar. I think it was on the Outback Import stand. They were next to D&G Tuning stand.
Anyone got an up to date price for this item?HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Both the ARB front bar and the Kaymar rear bar add a fair bit of weight to the car (60 ~ 80kg at the front) and the car's EAS will still level the vehicle and raise to the same heights for off-road travel. It's a little slower to reach full height, but it seemed to manage for 3 years without any adverse affects.
I've been toying with the idea of an alloy rear bar, but I haven't yet got around to mocking one up.
