Winch bumper, Rear bumper and rocksliders for D3
hello everybody,
I´m new at this place and i`m from germany.
The pics below show my actual D1, this one should get a new brother and i´m planning to buy an D3.
Has anyone some links and pics where to buy serious off road equipment for the D3,
to make that such routes, like shown in the picture, can be driven with the car without damage!
thank you so far

There is not really a one stop shop for this kit. Your best off telling us what equipment you are after and we can point you in the right direction of the best kit/supplier

I picture 1, what would be the consequence if that Line broke
Not advisable to be standing that close, or say goodbye to limb or life

Hello, Landmann, and welcome to the site.
I had my D3 modified by 10forcash (a member on this website). I took the car back to the UK for the work and I think that it was good value for money. Look in my gallery. His URL is here: http://www.offroad-essentials.com/ I'm going to Tunisia with him and several others from DISCO3.CO.UK in 3 weeks.
If you want a workshop in Europe then the places that you used to modify your D1 might be able to help you with the D3 - if they have the computer equipment.

Andrew, you should have added the Santas Challenge You Tube clip
Still amazes me that you have the Balls to do it, and amazes me the D3 can take it

Great pictures, Andrew.
Another thing, Landmann, we have some Swiss members on the site, who you might want to drive with. There's Mounty and Userfehler, to name at least two. If you're willing to drive for a few hours, you're always welcome to join me and JF Lux when we go out.

no consequences
it falls down like a towel
it´s a dyneema synthetic rope
the rope broke while towing this GMC and just felt down, that´s the advantage of this stuff,
and you hnadle it without gloves.

but back to topic:
when the D3 should be bought, i want replace:
1.) the front bumper, to put a winch on, but not hidden, i like to see the winch and wipe of dirt and care about the winch regularly (cahnge grease etc.)
2.) replace the rear bumper, to have no fears touching a tree (slowly)
3.) and of course rock sliders, to protect the sills.
4.) what do you thimk about skid plates??? usefull or just collecting dirt???
thank you so far landmann

The ARB winch mount, classed in the UK as a winch mount as it really is a BUMPER, just to get around the current laws is a top piece of kit, do a search on here and you will see some class set ups, is a solid external mount that certainly will protect the front end.
Not seem any rear bumpers on here, I guess ARB would do that too. Seems like you are going for some serious kit, have you thought about locating the spare to a rear carrier, and also contact by PM RLD for sill protectors, possible rock sliders and underside protection.
4.) what do you thimk about skid plates??? usefull or just collecting dirt???
Useful, especially the front one as the standard intercooler is quite vulnerable, especially if you're driving wooded tracks with branches & tree roots sticking up out of them. Site member and supporter RLD can sell you one and rock sliders The End

At Billing this year ther was a master piece of fabrication. The rear bumper was made from thick steel and was an exact replica of the standard bumper with regards to curves/profiles etc. But no rear PDC, that I could see. It also had 2 swing away wheel carriers. But a whopping great price tag 2200 quid. Well worth it but not something that I could justify, yet HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Rock sliders from RLD are very good. I'm glad I fitted them to my car.
Some our Australian colleagues will be able to comment on bumpers. Here's disco4x4au (albeit without bumper in the second photo):
