Engine Cleaning

Hi

Went off road a while back and ended up with a lot of mud etc in and around the engine bay, looking for some advice on having the engine steam cleaned, has anyone had this done professionally and is it a good idea or not?

Cheers,

Jim

Watch clening behind the main battery, there are some vulnerable modules there.

DiscoDunc/Disco Dunked,

Did you actually drive out of that, or did you park on a flood plane and wake up to nice surprise?

I mean, there's wading and there's that. Challenger tanks would struggle with that height of water!

(I'm new to these vehicles, so have no idea of what extra capacity a snorkel will provide (other than run submerged on diesels and charge your batterys thus avoiding ze Tommies und ze verdamdt Catalina flying boats if you're a German U Boat commander)).
