Actually read that, go and look at the Jag XJ configurator. Its not the best I've seen TBH but it lets you pick options AND accessories (be a long list for LR, but it would be good if it configured and showed updated pics with them fitted!), then the summary tabs lists the standard equipment, the upgrades and the breakdown of prices. I will be pleasantly surprised if the D4 one looks like this, given they have re-done the RRS/FFRR pages without making them any better.
And yes - its a 10 second job to paste the bloody .js file into the location the page is looking for but some idiot obviously used a hard-coded link or something which works when he tests it on his c: drive but not on the net - hope LR aren't paying them much coz that's a bit of rookie mistake.

Quick email to the MD of Land Rover... and it's now working!!
Still not convinced it's much good though. Too dark and moody to see much really.
Oh... except the colour chooser doesn't seem to be working - I think the arrow to move to the 2nd page of colours is off screen.D4 XS MY12 Galway

Pretty poor 'builder' though. As has been said, half the colours are missing and you can't add any extras to it as you can on other manufacturer's sites. So all you get is the basic cost of your chosen model.

I'm not sure what ingenuitive means, but I can't find a way to see other colours. And it is as as the old "configurator". I looked at the HSE - you can opt to downgrade to cloth trim, you have exterior colour choices, 2 choices of wheels and that's it - wow - I could have seen that many options, probably more by glancing through the bloody brochure.
Nice job whoever got it fixed!

Guess what, the dealers have limited D4 brochures and have been told by LR that no more are available. LR have told them to tell their customers to look on tinternet if they want info on the D4 oopsIn the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I went to my local dealer and sat in a D4 for ten minutes playing around with it......I wasn't even approached by the salesperson even though I'd just had a conversation with the workshop manager about the car and mentioned how interested I was in the 3.0 lump....
I asked for a brochure and they said they only had a few and these had already been given out - no more available and no they couldn't post me one.
I then asked for details of ex-demo FL2s for my wife and they said they would call me back or e-mail the information.....nothing....
So......a possible upsell didn't happen...And a new sale didn't happen because nobody could be bothered.

Sorry - almost forgot....
The above happened the day after my warranty expired as I was still trying to get them to fix the faults that were still pending more than one year after I first took it in to be fixed.2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

You need to select the colours option and the use the tab key to move through the various options. At some point, the colours get highlighted and you can then use the right arrow key to move through them (although you probably can't see them all) and then the enter key to select.
It's also possible to see the little arrow to move to 'page 2' of colour choices appear (using method above) - this can then be selected to move to the next batch of colour choices... all much more complicated than it needs to be.D4 XS MY12 Galway

Why not just download it, you can always print it if you want.

Ahh, that works much better now my tab key is not stuck!
If you want to see a decent configurator look at the VW one - choose a colour and it has an animation of sprays guns appearing and re-spraying the car. Pointless but amusing all the same. Plus you can choose all your options.
