What colour and have you added any options???
Had mine nearly a week now almost run in.
Had no probs.
IMO Much better drive than the D3 and the 3.0ltr is sweeeet as.....

Had a VW Treg for 4 years, the 2.5 diesel. Realy nice car and quality, and could live with the performance. But after 4 years time for a change, plus would benefit from 7 seats.
Had a weekend touring dealerships with the family to get a united view.
Audi Q7: Doesn't look right and couldn't get ££ sense out of them.
BMW X5: The salesmen couldn't operate the rear seats  Nice twin turbo engine, but hard ride and eveything is an expensive extra.
Disco 4: I had called into a dealer earlier in the week and was very impressed with the interior which seems to have moved on dramaticaly from the D3. Added to the new 3.0 engine and everything as standard its a great package. Mrs and kids were sold in the showroom, the test drive just sealed it. Did a deal on the showroom model in grey with tints. Will need a tow bar but will have to wait.
I'll update you on first impressions

Had a 30 mile trip in one of the early ones... ride was so firm that I was feeling queasy down the dual carriage ways. By the country lane bit it was head out the window for some air - and that was in the front seat. Dread to think what it would have been like for the small ones in the back. Much though I love the 5 series tourer we've got, they really can't do 4x4s!

i nearly bought a treg 3.0 was a really nice place to be a driver, but the boot was just too small for the size of car, and VW were after WAY too much money..
really niceengine in there though, even porsche agree one wife.......livid

First impressions 
A vehicle with real presence when driving. Can't wait to realy try out the second turbo 
Time to look through the manual to understand how things work. One thing missing was the sat nav book. Is this separate to the other booklets?
Also should I have a lead for the ipod connection?
The Mrs had her first drive and is well chuffed

Welcome Cooperman.
1 - Yes there is a separate booklet for the Nav
2 - iPod lead although FOC had to be requested by the dealer at the time of ordering. Don't ask me why as it doesn't make much sense. Ask dealer nicicely and I'm sure one will be forthcoming.

congrats on the new car.
Whilst u r waiting for the ipod lead you could always plug a memory stick into the usb and enjoy the excellent sound system.
500 miles will go soon, but it's a sod to keep under the 68mph recommended in the manual.

Thanks for the welcomes
This key fob is a bit of a  , I'm not sure when its locked/unlocked/mirrors in/out. Just got back and set the alarm off messing about with it  Not good with the neighbours who are no doubt chuckling behind the curtains - or about to kill me for waking them up 
I'll have to read the book in more detail, but any practical advice would be welcomed.
At least I managed to store 5live on the DAB to listen to the football
