Collecting my HSE tomorrow and as far as I can tell from the various posts it's a bit of a lottery as to wheteher my car will have certain kit. Like......
DPF. I read somewhere that all the first build would have DPF so as my car has been sat at the dealer for a month and was actually built right at the end of August will it have one?
Rear Seat Audio Controls. Also read that cars were coming through without these now, but I hope that they are there as my little ones are expecting them!
Rear Air Con. Is it available, even as an option? I have seen pictures on the forum of a car that has it fitted (or at least the controls So will my car have these controls?
I might start a sweepstake!! 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Didn't you expect to get the car about a month ago? I recall a post saying it was built early Sep. What went amiss?

Me I'm afraid.......I was supposed to collect around 13th. September but between one thing and another a whole month has passed.....it's been a bit frustrating. That's why I am wondering what the car will have because it is a relatively early build car. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

You should have no worries about the rear audio thingys then......
Check the VIN, as there are a few things that your dealer should have checked out before letting you loose in it. If you have the VIN, I can tell you what to ask about.

Sorry no VIN yet. I should have thought of it sooner and requested it from them today. It's coming from Lakeland LR though and they are pretty hot in their workshops. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Regarding rear seat aircon - my dealer insists it isn't on any UK spec cars and isn't an option either. He tells me that the front seat only aircon is so brilliant that it can cool the kids and the dogs without any extra vents or plumbing. I have my doubts. I guess rear seat air will be available in some markets - but don't know for sure. Does anyone here have an HSE in a hot place (Middle East, Southern Europe, Aus etc) ?
Our HSE arrived with rear audio controls, cameras and an ipod connector. Not quite sure what the cameras achieve - other than a bit of a toy to play with a couple of times then ignore.
A few second impressions is that the sound system is excellent, the handling is really excellent and the engine is truly fantastic. But this keyless nonesense is an utter pain. We keep on losing the keys, forgeting them and stressing about security. Give me a traditional key, lock system everytime. Disco 4 TDV6HSE

A filter that adds weight, complexity, cost and reduces performance. Form an orderly queue to get one of those then ..... Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Bit harsh.....Diesel Particulate Filter is a system that removes what is basically soot from the emissions of a diesel engine. It collects it on a ceramic core which then as part of a service cycle heats up and burns of the carbon particles. Trouble is if you don't give the car a good spanking on a regular basis (not a problem for me ) the filter blocks and has to be taken through a forced cycle.......I think!!!! 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Sorry - maybe I was a bit OTT. But I still wouldn't volunteer to pay for one if I had a choice. Sooner or later I guess they will be compulsory though .... Disco 4 TDV6HSE
