B R, why did I only come back to this at the last minute!!
If I want one to do mine, my old mans D3 and potentially a D4 would I need to go for the 'pro multi' model or is it more cost effective to buy individual licences?
Sorry if this has all been covered but I am about to go out on shift for 12hrs and I don't want to miss the offer!

Hiya Luvbus
Unless you have more than 2 vehicles of one type to cover (and D3 and D4 are different models electronically at least) then the single vehicle option is always the best choice.

Order on faultmate website - then write a PM to BBS SPY (here on disco3 forum) with your order nr - he will arrange that the discount is applied.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
2007 D3 TDV6 SE, Auto; club Faultmate MSV2
I think I will just order a single licence for myself, it will be up to the old man if he wants to shell out for his. No time to pester him & sort it out!!
I take it the hardware is the same for the D3 and D4, it will just require the purchase of a D4 licence if I change the car in March?

Go to our web shop
www.blackbox-solutions.com/shop
Click on the left where it says Faultmate MSV-2, then click on kits, then scroll down to item SV222. add it to the cart. Then click on teh back button at the top, now software, then single vehicle and scroll down to MP012.
Put it in teh cart also, then proceed to check out. Follow the instructions selecting shipping & payment options etc
dont worry you dont see any discount at that stage.
Finally at the end you will get an order reference number which you need to PM me. Our Admin will then contact you to offer you the discount etc and confirm everything with you.
regards
Colin

yep fine Luvbus
Just leave the MP012 off then, it can be ordered later on anyway
Yes it it the same hardware for D3 and D4
Also forgot to ask, I take it all the programming etc can be done on a Mac running windows under bootcamp or parallels, I have already got a serial to USB lead for toy plane data loggers.
It's a pain trying to sort all this lot out when somebody lets me away for a tea break!!

apparently it can, i recall someone on here saying as much, and i am quite sure it has been done a few times by our customers. but of course officially we can't support that, however its the sort of thing our owners love to discuss on the BBS owners forums.
That usb to serial lead should work fine, save having yet more drivers installed
