Oh I've got auto wipers - they're too bl Censored dy sensitive, that's all! Adjusting the switch as you describe makes no difference on mine.

Looking through the threads, it appears that most of the peeps who have the same issue as me all run 2005 models ...

10forcash, yours weren't quite working as per the manual last time! - Why would you want intermittent wipers only when the rain has subsided? On mine, when the rain stops the wipers do too - but the dial definately has no effect on the front...

This might help - I noticed last weekend that if the wipers are switched to the 'on' position, i.e. one above the intermittent, that if the rain subsides, they default to intermittent after a minute or so, obviously, this only works with rain sensor enabled wipers
Yes they do - although the post above isn't a recent one! if the wipers are switched to the 'on' position (i.e. not intermittent / auto, off or 'fast') they become intermittent once the speed drops below a pre-set threshold, once the vehicle speeds up again, then they revert to continuous operation. FWIW, the wipers on my FL2 (no rain sensor) the control is opposite to what the manual or graphics suggest - i.e. turned towards the driver = long delay, turned towards the windscreen = short delay. The auto wipers on my D3 work the same, turned towards the driver = less sensitive, turned towards the windscreen = more sensitive. In both cases, turning towards the windscreen initiates an instant wipe followed by more frequent / sensitive wiping....

Auto wipers - if operating correctly, a turn of the sensitivity dial towards the screen should initiate a wipe and increase the likelyhood of an auto wipe with fine rain.... if not, you sure you've got auto wipers?

This is how mine work (MY08).

And yes the dial adjusts the frequency of the rear wiper as well if switched on.

Sometimes you seem to have to pull the lever down (auto wipers off) and then up again in order to see any frequency change. This 'trick' also works if the wipers are being too sensitive still once its stopped raining - spray for instance). Turn off and then back on kills the excited behaviour they have.
