Any feedback on Sturgess Leicester |
|
Just getting quotes for 5th/75K service. Usually use an independent, PF Midlands, but Sturgess Leicester quote seems v. competitive at £360 all in and will do MOT for free at same time. Anyone any experiences of this dealer?

I should have added, there is an advantage in using the independent, in that you get to talk to the person doing the work

No experience of servicing, but bought my D3 from them earlier this year and spoke at length with the service manager over an issue I had and which was resolved.
I cannot fault the guys from my dealings with them. If I stayed closer I would use them.

I've known them for well over 20 years, but have had no dealings in the past 5 due to move out of the county. Always was a very good company to deal with through never had any problems . I have a few farmer friends who still buy from them today and i've heard no complaints at all.

I don't think there's any reason why you shouldn't be able to do that at a decent dealership. I do at mine 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
2022 Tesla Model Y LR... almost Carpathian Grey
Previously : 2005 TDV6 SE Auto, Cairns Blue (288K) - ours for 16 years

I've used Sturgess for two or three services. They picked up the car, gave me a courtesy car and did a good job. On average they are cheaper than my local Stratstone, who are a pain to get a courtesy car off and I have had patchy quality with.
I recommend Sturgess

I have found them pretty good. Much more helpful and friendly than the Northampton main dealer. Don't know how far away you are from them, but Rocking Landrovers (near Corby) are a great independent.

Get your D3 to Hinckley and I know a very good indy (TFC) who could then work in a bigger warmer workshop than Sturgess "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

...Or on your driveway or works carpark... minimal disruption to you, maximum value for money can't do an MoT though, but that's only £26-ish

I'll line 'em up - you knock 'em down
Obviously the home option, carries the risk of being near the home owners bacon and beer "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
