I meant lustig. But agreed: climbing a mountain can be lastig too. Especially if you had a few drinks the night before. Or if there is no cable railway around. Mr. Green

BTW: these 'Russian' Discos, where it all started with, do have cruise control (ergo switches on the wheel) but no audio controls on the wheel. Does anybody know if these audio controls can be retrofitted? Supposing of course my basic audio system is supporting these remote audio controls. Or may be I should ask this question in de Electronics forum?

The audio controls should be just 'plug and play'.

Lots of people have installed them on low-line (CD-400) IHUs and I don't know of anyone whose controls didn't work immediately.

Great! Thanks Paul. This forum is a dream. Very Happy
Had the same experience with my previous Disco (TD5) when I installed the cruise control there. Chap at the dealer told me then installing cc on td5 was very complicated en would cost 1000 euro or so. Finally I bought the switch on eBay for 120 euro and installed it (in an hour or so) myself and the cc has worked flawlessly all the time. Anybody any idea where that part (the audio controls) would be available?
A pity though CD-400 doesn't seem to support MP3-discs...

CC on the D3 is slightly more complicated as it (usually) needs to be activated in the CCF for it to work.

Do a forum search for Nick (username The Large One), the Parts Manager from Yeovil - he can probably get get the switch panel delivered to you for quite a bit less than the cost of buying it locally.

The CD-400 doesn't support mp3 at all. Thumbs Up
