Help with D4 options.....

Hi all - First post here - absolutely love this forum - it has helped me a great deal in shaping my thoughts!

I have a question as I am about to buy my first ever Land Rover so am a bit of a virgin! ( hope to order a Disco 4 XS in Jan)....

What is a "Lower Centre Console Cooler Box" for £225.10 on the list price? Is that the big arm rest/cubby box on the centre console but with cooling ability in it? Or do you not get a centre console box/armrest if you do not order this? Question

Thanks in advance.....

It's a fridge under the centre console. Used to be standard on HSE. Mixed views about it on here - I like mine for the summer, but £225 is a lot of dosh. Some here prefer puting the cash towards a 'real' fridge for the boot. Depends what you want. The cooler will keep cans cool and chocolate from melting, but not help with the frozen goods from Tesco.

Welcome to the forum.
Thumbs Up

Engel seem to be the brand mentioned most often - www.engelfridges.co.uk

However, as is often said, someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly to educate....!

I have an Engel and am perfectly happy with it, but some people rate the National Luna fridge.

I have an engel and its fantastic - the 35litre one is just the right size to fit under the retractable boot cover Thumbs Up and of course the Engel (or NL) will act as a freezer as well.

just right for keeping beer at -4c Mr. Green

Big plus for an Engel as it can act as the drinks fridge for Chrimbo, or ad hoc freezer. Mine's full of beer, vino and soft drinks leaving loads of room in the fridges for food! Mr. Green Mr. Green
