Battery light on HELP
Hi All
I have a 2005 Disco3 and I have replaced the Battery 2months ago and everything has been fine until today I went out drove about 2 miles and the battery light has popped on.
The alternator belt is ok
It seems to be charging
Diagnostics never showed anything up
Does anyone think it needs a new alternator are they prone to going and how difficult a job is it do you takle it from the top or the bottom
Or am I missing something simple
Your help would be much apprecisted
cheers

Hi Mike Check your charging system is kicking out 14- 15volts if not and you have discharge tested you battery and it is reading a steady 12 v its your alternator did mine this time last year pretty straight forward do it from the front just take the cowl off and viscous fan off 1 hour max oh you'll need a 32mm spanner to get the fan off MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎
