I am having the same problem, mine only connects after you switch the car on for a while then switch the car off then start it again. I tried a HTC Tytn, Apple and Nokia.

Hi, is there any update on this as I think I experienced the problem this morning, tho didn't have time to play around with the phone etc. It was a cold morning up here, 3 degrees C and I noticed the front and rear heated screens had come on by themselves, but not the faster fan you'd expect with the defrost button
I was playing with all the controls yesterday so maybe something I did, will wait and see!
Btw, the I-Pod system is fantastic

My iphone 4 connects well to my D4 HSE but the only time it fails to connect is when it's cold <3Deg. It connects most times even when it's cold, but the only common denominator seems to be temperature.

Ditto - Sony Ericsson smartphone on latest firmware, almost perfect but then on odd occasions, always when below freezing, phone does not pair

Come to think of it, same here, only occasionally fails to pair and seem to be when it's cold - Blackberry 8900 - maybe it's something to do with the auxilliary/pre heater electronic systems that interferes with the bluetooth. Just a thought seeming as that is temperature dependant and springs into action below 5degress LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
