Which service am I due, and when? Can't seem to work it out. |
|
Hi Guys,
I'm confused about which service I'm due next, so if someone could tell me how this all works I'd be really grateful. My D3 is now just over 4 years old, and has had all its services up to the 75k one which was done in March 2009 at 72k miles. It now has 80k miles on the clock. So is it due the next service in the book, which is the 90k one (even though I'm 10k off that and nowhere near the 6 year point) or is due some kind of interim service?
Cheers
James

It seems pretty general that if you don't do the mileage you still need the next service in sequence after 12 months.
At 37k my next service will be the 60k one in June by the calendar when I will only have done 42-45k.... 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Yes your next service will be the 90k service, to be done 15K (or 1 year) after you had the 75K one done. That makes it due at 87K in your case. Personally I would add a 1000 miles to each service interval until your back in line mileage wise, but it's your choice.

I would get the 90k done in March 2010 Duncan

Correct but if james's car has done 72K in 4 years the time aspect (until now) has been irrelevant. unless it has done some years at less than 15k / year but this is unlikely.
