Why does it not allow me to upload pics |
|
So I have put some on before. Now im trying and not having any luck at all. It keep saying "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 62914560 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2880 bytes) in /home/disco3/domains/disco3.co.uk/public_html/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 234" or sometimes it will say 0 files upload successfully
only uploading 1 at a time and the pic sizes are right i think.
one was 958kb
another was 1.38mb
is that to big?
what am I doing wrong? Current: D3 commercial
Past: but not forgotten D3 HSE x2, 5 TD5 disco2's, 1 200tdi disco1, 2 300tdi disco1 one of which was a commercial, Off roader with a rather large spec, ARB's and big travel suspension to name a few.

Your connection speed may be causing a timeout during the upload 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Could be, but it has been working good from the same connection (24Mbit access) before and now I try with just one image at the time and still does not work. Have tried several times over the last days but it seems persistent. Of course I might be doing something the wrong way as well..

Dickydisco, do you use Safari as your browser? I get the same message and long waits with nothing happening and have to upload on Firefox as Safari on my computer seems incompatible with this site for uploading pictures for whatever reason

This is the gallery script using up more than its fair share of memory. It's happened a couple of times since the server move, I will look into it further, thanks for the report. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

No dont use firefox. using iternet explorer. I asked a computer guy and he said somethig about the width of the pic in pixels can be read by the computer in a funny way that it see it in Megabytes instead. something like that, not being very computer cleaver I dont really know. It seems its only the pic I have takeen with my camera which is a 12mp one that I cant upload. from my Iphone its fine. so somewhere along the line its to do with size. as I said before the pics aint over 7000kb Current: D3 commercial

If you're trying to upload the original 12MP photo the gallery script will time out before your connection has managed to get the entire pic to the DISCO3 server.
In general, internet upload speeds haven't kept up with digital camera picture filesizes.
I've mentioned this quite a bit in the past, most recently: http://disco3.co.uk/forum/post514240.html#514240 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
