I am trying to remove my tow bar I have unbolted tie bars but cannot release the bar. Green knob turns a bit but unsure if it's unlocked or not as i cannot get key to go in fully.
Any ideas.

Simon
I would assume it is locked as you should be able to turn the green knob while pulling outwards about 5mm, which shows a red warning strip.
I believe there is a way to remove the tow bar while still locked, but even though I am originally from Liverpool, I am not familiar with the process! I am sure someone else could PM this to you.

its sounds like its still locked - there is a way to get it off, but I wont post the process in a open forum.
I had to do this on mine.

Not had much to do with the bolt on tow bar, but is it the weight of the side arms which you have unbolted causing the bar to twist and jam up tow bar release? - Just a thought!

the side arms weigh next to nothing, and they unbolt at both ends, so if removed wont affect this issue. its a jammed lock by the looks of it.

if its anything like mine was, there's every chance of a load of sh!t in the key slot, but once its stuck, no amount of release agent seems to get it unstuck
