Just to answer your question, I've had the XS7000 for about 15 months and it has both the crocodile clips and the "ring connectors".
Best Wishes,
Peter
Many thanks Peter
Fishy, I've just bought the XS7000 (jan 2010) and it came with both croc clips and fixed eyelet connections.

I have now got my XS3600 charger and a comfort indicator lead with the 3 lights
I placed the indicator lead on the battery via the eyelets and it was flashing orange. I then connected up the charger. After about 24 hours the charger was showing maintenance mode, full battery symbol (solid light), and the indicator lead was flashing green.
Has anybody else got a indicator lead and if so does it flash or is it a solid light
It got confusing when I spoke to the UK Ctek Distributor. On the first phone call I was told if the green light flashes the battery is sulphated, even though its only 4 months old
I wasn't happy with that answer so later I rang again. This time a different person said 'flashing is normal..... I think'.
Both of these phone calls were to the TECHNICAL dept These calls were after calls to my local store where I bought it and a call to the local distributor.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THESE DAYS!!! IS MY QUESTION REALLY THAT DIFFICULT
If you have an indicator lead any help would be appreciated.

Fishy - I will be (finally) setting this up over the weekend and will be able to let you know... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."

Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Fishy - PM sent, but will also post here for others.
LED connector fitted - it immediately showed amber then went to red after a short while (always flashing).
Connected up the CTEK - immediately went to amber (flashing). Left it over night and the charger was showing fully charged and the LEDs were green (flashing).
Disconnected the CTEK unit and the LEDs very soon went back to amber...
Following reading a couple of reviews on the web about this connector, the general consensus seems to be that it is cr@p and innacurate. My experience seems to back this up...
I only got it as I needed an additonal connector and this was the only one they had in the shop. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

I seem to remember in one of the (many) links that DT posted, that several people had complained about these things being very unreliable as far as really indicating the battery charge, so I guess it just proves what they were saying....it's a shame though as the idea sounds fantastic

[smug mode on]
My battery was getting run down after lots (and lots) of short trips and cold weather during Dec/Jan....I plugged in my new XS25000 a week ago and it got it up into maintenence mode after just 1 hour of charging

I left smug mode on intentionally .....I figured it should make the most of it until the 22nd when the VISA bill arrives and my wife makes me sleep in the shed for having bought it
Anyway - it'll be your fault that I'm sleeping outside as you made me buy the XS25000.....and then you "made me" buy a D4 reversing camera at the same time.....
.... just realised I haven't got a shed either 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Just got my XS3600 through , looks really well built with a few batteries eagerly waiting for testing...
Can't try it yet as I'm travelling but can someone please confirm what connector their "comfort connect" actually is? Is it an "anderson plug" Looking at slightly modifying/adding a custom connector but don't want to cannibalise the existing ones or buy their add-ons...
Thanks
