| Heated Windscreen failure? |

The other morning, I turned on the heated windscreen and it cleared all but a 2inch vertical swathe directly in front of the driver.
I guess the screen is powered in segments - does this mean that a segment has failed (meaning a new screen...) or do the connections fall off?

hensoni,
When mine was still under warranty,I had a similar problem half the screen didn't work passenger side,
dealer fixed it and said connection was loose,next time I needed it there was a 2" band same as you
are experiencing, told dealer, they said new screen, it works in two halves,but I only have their word on that
and with it being on the passenger side I said leave it not worth the hassle, hope this helps.

Although not stated in this thread, any screen chip repair killsthe elements in that area, could that be the fault?

No repairs visible. I'll have to give it a closer look as it came from the dealer like it. A simialr thread has just started under 'general' too - it's looks like we are not alone!
