The same story. Traded my D3 SE in with armrests. Pick up shinny new D4XS No armrests. Contact LR told them tha the web site shows this model and specification with armrest. Told by them to contact my dealer which I did so and after some discussion they have agreed to contact LR to confrim the specification....!!!! Needless to say not very happy and feel that LR are missrepresenting the specification of the car. Will wait for the dealers response. After being really annoyed before delivery about my D4 XS not having armrests - I have now taken delivery of the new beast and am actually quite pleased it does not have them!
I am a large framed guy and the centre consol armrest and window ledge are more than adequate and bizarrely rather comfortable. In fact, I would find the armrests quite restrictive and would not now specify them (if an option) with hindsight. Club D4 XS

Of course, if you do have armrests, they can be simply raised to the vertical, and then they don't get in the way.

Just out of interest is fitting of armrests possible on the XS and has anyone done it successfully and for a decent price?HSE Black - Orkney Grey, ivory leather, privacy glass, tow bar. GBNF - Discover 4 XS Nara Bronze (11); Discovery 3 HSE, Zermatt Silver (57); Discovery 3 HSE, Buckingham Blue (55); Volvo V70 Titanium SE (53); Audi A4 1.9 TDI SE, Denim Blue (02); Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6, Black (99-V); VW Corrado VR6, Red (92-K); Toyota MR2, Racing Green (94-M); Nissan Sunny GTI, Red (92-K); Mk1 Toyota MR2 T-bar, Red (89-G); Citroen AX GT, Red (87-E); Talbot Horizon, Snot Green (83-A, I think).
I think Nationwide trim can do it. Google them for the website.
