LR Experience - How to Upgrade? |
|
I am about to book my free half day LR experience. Despite the fact it's over 100 miles away, it sounds like Eastnor is the place to go.
The contact centre have offered me two upgrades to the standard, both for £70.
1. the normal 1/2 day is you, another driver and an instructor. You can pay £70 and you don't have to share the driving with someone else. i.e. Same duration, but twice as intense an experience.
2. Have share with a second driver, but have a full day there instead of half a day. Again, it's a £70 upgrade.
Does anyone have any views about which is the better experience? Short and intense, or longer time?

How much to upgrade to full day non sharing?
Don't forget if you're a Caravan Club member you can get a half-price half-day so if you are try and get them to factor that in on the upgrade (if you're not it's only £32 to join so it may pay to to sign up).
I'm intending to book mine for around the end of June so let me know what deal you end up with

The cost for 1:1 training is basically your cost plus the other seat, around £250 I think.

I went to Eastnor two weeks ago.
I only did the introductory course, but I was alone in the car with the instructor. 8)
I was surprised as the centre seemed very quiet on a Monday morning only nine attendies there in total, most doing advanced stuff.
Was I lucky or is this quite common.
Very good course if a bit short. I wish I had upgraded to the full day. If I had shared the drive I dont think I would have had much time behind the wheel.
After reading BN's experience, I wish I had seen the "Quarry Slope" though.
I am busy with my business until the autum, but I defenitely think I will return for another course in the future. Kevin

Kevin, you were lucky. When I am down there it is usually busy. I was there last week and they had about 100 people. many were press for the RR Sport and potential buyers for a free off road ride. Ehm, I didn't get that treatment for the D3.
