| how to switch on 4x4 info display - instruction |

Hi guys, I've just found how to switch on 4x4 info display if you don't have a button on the screen.
1) Switch on the ignition
2) Turn on the Terrian Response switch to any off-road mode
3) The Terrian Response Switch will be displayed on the screen
4) Press "ONE SCREEN BACK" button on screen
5) And now you can enjoy have wounderful 4x4 screen on display 
6) Turn-on the engine and run.

A little sceptical, but have just tried this and it does work. 4x4 info screen up and working

Untill this discovery, only known method is to hookup a faultmate and reprogram the vehicle configuration file.
How did you figure this out? Just by randomly pression some buttons? I wonder what other feature can be turned on by pressiong some buttons in a certain sequence. TJ

Just by accident - it took me just 5 min to find the way. It was my first day with the D4 and I played with the nav and display functions. It was late night and didin't want to start the engine. This fact helped a lot! Just switching the ignition and not starting the engine - is the key. It was great experience. I personally was VERY dissapointed then I found that there is no 4x4 screen at the car which cost over $90K here in Moscow. Now I'm really happy that I found the way to make D4 owners all around the world be a little bit more happy.

Do you have Terriance Responce Switch image dispayed on the screen? If so, then you should have a button with the arrow (like turned computer like "Enter") right below the TRS image - this is what I mean "One Screen Back" button. Hope this help - sorry for very Alex from Russia (Moscow)

Nice find well done, does it come back on automaticly next time you start the car or now give you the 4x4 info button on the home menu ?
Tipiclay i cant test it as mine is now turned on diagnosticly.

Unfortuntly you have to repeat all steps every time you'd like to have 4x4 info screen.  Alex from Russia (Moscow)

This is a D4 specific Easter egg and, if I recall correctly, the D3 S does not even have an LCD display. So, in short, no.
