D3 phone cradle to D4?

Gents,
Does anyone here know if it is possible to remove the factory fitted phone cradle from my D3 and fit it to my new D4 XS. The bluetooth is all fine and well but I'll miss getting the phone charged and the external antenna in the rural areas.....

Is there an external aerial in the sharks fin? I know the original D3 system only used the external aerial when phone hard-connected, but having experimented with "hiding/screening" the phone where the signal should be poorer the on-screen signal strength indicator still gives a better signal than I would have expected which made me wonder if it was a gsm phone itself that just used the bluetooth signal to access the sim card on the phone? May however just be that gsm signals are nowadays so much better than they used to be anyway Very Happy

The following Nokia kit http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/acces...ifications apparently uses Sim Access profile which effectively just uses the sim card but separate car hardware/aerial which MAY be what the new LR kit is doing?
